This month the Knights of Columbus Council 13139 is proud to honor the Puglise Family as Family of the Month. John and Lynne first met in Hollywood, FL and are the proud parents of four beautiful children, Lexi, Hunter, Emily, and Nicole. The Puglises have been members of the congregation at St. Peter for over 20 years.
John Puglise was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus before his unfortunate passing in 2021. John was a cherished member of The Council who was active in our monthly meetings and was our grill master at parish picnics, pig roasts, and the monthly pancake breakfasts. He was also an usher at St. Peter and both John and Lynne were very active in the Parish Picnic, supporting events in every way possible. John was an avid boater, and his family continues his passion with weekly trips on their boat, The Contender. John was also an avid hunter, and to this day Lynne and son Hunter carry on this legacy with hunting excursions at a ranch in Texas.
Oldest daughter Lexi has been recently engaged and will be tying the knot in Hawaii in May. Lexi’s fiancé is in the Coast Guard, and they will be living in Hawaii where he will be stationed.
Hunter is a beloved member of Council 13139, always eager to give a helping hand at the parish breakfasts. His amazing mother, Lynne is always by his side supporting his special needs. Hunter will be honored separately this month as our Knight of the Month.
Younger daughter Emily recently started attending Tallahassee Community College and has future plans to follow in the footsteps of her older sister by attending FSU.
Nicole, the youngest daughter is currently in her junior year at Cardinal Newman. She is active in both her high school cheer squad as well as competing in Cheer nationally. Nicole is currently recuperating from an injury, and we are all praying for her speedy recovery.
It has been our privilege to recently sit down with Lynne Puglise and get to know her on a personal level. Her strength, courage and inner beauty is a blessing to all who know her, most importantly to her four amazing children. Between holding down multiple jobs, caring for Hunter and her daughters, and being the head of the household, she has much to attend to. May we as a parish community seek to provide as much support and prayer as possible for this remarkable family.
