Note: Minutes of our Planning Meetings are posted on the Council website for all members of the council for review and comment. The minutes will not be read at the next business meeting unless requested by a member. Please direct all corrections and additions to Jim Hildebrand jrpah@comcast.net

  • Pre - Meeting.

  • Officers Roll Call

    • All Officers were present except for the DeputyGrand Knight, Chaplain, Chancellor, Financial Secretary, Advocate, and 3rd Year Trustees.

    • Chaplain Report -

    • The meeting was opened and closed with a prayer.

  • Guests and Dignitaries

    • The District Deputy attended.

  • Grand Knight Report:

    • Report:

      • We are targeting a Membership Drive for the first weekend in February. Maybe tie it to the Fellowship Breakfast and do something like a pancake breakfast.

      • Jupiter Jubilee is February 4th from 11am to 4 pm. We may have liability problems that need to be resolved.

      • The GK is considering forming membership teams with a mixture of active and less active Knights. The teams would be asked to support activities with the the intent of getting more Knights involved in our activities.

    • Deputy Grand Knight and Director Reports:

      • Faith: (Philip Colon)

      • Father Chamindra’s mother has passed away. There will be a funeral mass 12/10.

      • Rosary Initiative -.

        • RSVP Program -We are working to find a good opportunity for Deacon Serge to attend a Council function.

        • Faith Kiosk - Currently compiling a list of books that should be ordered for the Kiosk.

      • Family (Trevor McDonald)

        • Lynn Puglise needs some maintenance help on her property. Some work involves electrical repairs. We are looking for some Knights to help out.

        • “Family of the Month” -

        • Food for Families -

      • Community (Dan Perez).

        • Coats for Kids - Distributed at the Catholic School in Indian Town. Two additional distribution events are planned, one at St Peter, the other in Pahokee. We have some heavy coats that may be suited for the Pahokee distribution.

        • Fellowship Breakfast

        • JTAA Christmas Parade - There parade is Sunday December 11. All preparations have been completed.

        • Throw Competition-

      • Special Olympics -

      • Hanna’s House - Looking at having a landscape clean-up day. There is some repair work that needs to be done, but it is beyond our capabilities.

    • Brother Hildebrand moved and Brother McDonald seconded a motion to donate $100 to the Florida State KofC collection for Hurricane relief. Passed. (The money was collected at the Nov Breakfast for this purpose).
