We had a Very Successful "Coats for Kids" Fundraiser

Brothers Paul Davisson and Dan Perez distribute coats to children at the "Hope Rural School" in Indiantown. The Catholic school serves migrant workers children in grandes K-5.

More about the Coats for Kids program and pictures of our collection effort are bellow.

"Coats for Kids" is a Knights of Columbus program to supply good quality new winter coats to Kids that might not have one otherwise. We collected for the program after all Masses on the weekend of November 5&6. The collection was in conjunction with our Fellowship Continental Breakfast for November.

The collection was a great success. Grand Knight Ken Kotansky had the following to say about it:

Worthy Brothers,

I want to thank all that participated in the Coats for Kids/Fellowship Sunday double header. The parish swarmed our Fellowship Breakfast. It was good to see so many people enjoying the Continental meal.

Our parish was very giving as we collected just shy of $3000 that will be going to a great cause. Special thanks for ushers who helped us to make sure we covered all the door.. I even brought my wife and 2 sons out to the 5:00 Sunday mass. It was great so see so many young people and the uplifting music at that mass.

When you see Fr Don, make sure you thank him for allowing us to collect for the new coats that will be distributed in areas of poverty.
